RealJams Academy Parent FAQ










About Our Staff:

Real Jams Academy would not be the unique music experience it is without our best-in-class faculty. This diverse group of highly trained musicians and music educators draws on unparalleled talent, knowledge and passion to inspire the confidence our students need to play and create the music they want.


Student Skill Levels:

These programs are designed for students of all skill levels.  We do ask that all students have had at least some private lessons instruction or band/group experience before attending.  If you have any questions regarding your son or daughter's skill level please contact the Bill Doss, RealJams Academy Director at: bill.doss@therealschoolofmusic.com



What To Bring:

All students must wear shoes. Sandels and open-toed shoes are not allowed. This is to ensure the safety of all students. Students can bring a packed bag lunch, or bring $5 for pizza and a water which we have delivered each day. We also have vending machines available to all students for drinks and snacks.


RealJams Core & Advanced Programs only:

  • Guitarists/Bassists: Bring instruments, cables, straps, and a tuner. We will supply amplifiers.
  • Keyboardists: We have in-house pro gear for you to use.
  • Drummers: Bring sticks. We have pro gear for you to use.
  • Singers: We have in-house microphones and PA for you to use.
  • Woodwinds: Bring instrument, straps, and extra reeds.
  • Brass: Bring instrument and valve oil.



Registration Information: 

RealJams Hours of Operation 

  • 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily

  • Sessions run Monday through Friday. 
  • End-of-week Final Performance for family and friends will be scheduled for Friday at 4:00 p.m.,and will be held in our Real Room concert stage at The Real School of Music. 

*We offer Early Drop Off from 7:30am-8:30am and Late Pick Up from 4:00pm-5:30pm for additional $25/wk.  Make sure to select this option on the RealJams 2014 Enrollment form if this applies to you.  

Payment and Refund Policy

  • $150 non-refundable, non transferable deposit required at registration.
  • Payment of balance due 30-days prior to the start of the session.
  • No refunds if cancelation occurs within two weeks of start date.
  • Discounts available for multiple sessions and multiple family members. Call for details.
